The garage is coming on a treat, now that the brickwork has gone off the frame is going up.

The Essex Board didn't take long to fix to the frame, staining took some time though, but its all finished now, and all fitted out.

With all the work complete, time to move the chassis into the garage, with all the boxes that came with it.

Just one point, as there are quite a few sites detailing the build of an Ultima (see the Links page) I will not go into such detail but will comment on anything I come across that may be useful in the build, as this is for a CanAm not a GTR. There will be some differences along the line.

OK now the real work begins, I start with build manual on the bench and CD in the laptop. The rear panel is offered up into the cockpit and duly marked where the corners overlap the welds and also the centre notch. I had a little help. The panelling of the CanAm cockpit is the same procedure as the the GTR cockpit, the only difference is you have the rollover bar support brace to notch around instead of the front roll bars as in the GTR. It's worth spending time on these as they are right by the side of you and you will be looking at them all the time,  thinking if only I spent a little more time.......

I'm quite pleased with my cut outs, bearing in mind these are my very first.

Found the fillets that go between the rear bulk head panel and the engine bulk head panel, these are now U shape so I drill through the side panel extensions and the rear b/h panel into these fillets.
